The JUC North American Office seeks to support the institutional mission by fulfilling the Recruitment, Admissions, Communication, Marketing, and Business functions of the school.
Position Summary
The Director of Communication supports JUC’s mission by leveraging digital, print, and web communication to engage JUC’s constituents for the purposes of fundraising, promoting the school, and enhancing the recruitment, admissions, and learning processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Learn and champion Slate CRM to train JUC staff how to utilize Slate CRM most effectively
Assist with Slate CRM development to improve communication and enhance customer service
Maintain and develop communication channels and campaigns (i.e., application, donor campaigns, internal communication flows, printed materials, newsletters, videos, social media, etc.) for JUC’s key groups including donors, alumni, prospective students, students, consortium schools, and applicants
Manage, maintain, and develop JUC’s website
Maintain and improve JUC’s master communication plan
Provide copy and design editing for JUC’s communications
Actively invest in the JUC team to foster continued trust and collaboration
Education and Training
B.A. degree in a communication field
JUC educational experience in Jerusalem preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Character
Strong commitment to the Christian faith
Drive to work hard and pursue excellence in all areas
Passionate about JUC’s mission to educate students in Bible backgrounds
Strong proficiency in written communication (i.e., writing, editing, proofreading)
Software experience with Microsoft Office 365, Slate CRM, and graphic design software is preferred
Project management experience (time management, goal-setting, multitasking, and prioritization)
Marketing, information design, video, web, and graphic design experience
Detail-oriented and organized
Strong problem-solving skills
