Beloved by readers of Scripture for millennia, the psalms are often read in isolation, apart from their historical and canonical contexts. But a closer look at the historical background and canonical location of these ancient songs provides a greater understanding and appreciation of the psalms individually and as a collection. This session will focus on select psalms written during the United Monarchy to provide greater insight into David’s wilderness years and David’s and Solomon’s reflections on the Davidic Covenant. This event is part of the "Culture Counts" online lecture series.
