General Information About Giving |
|
|
United States:
Established in 1957 as a tax-exempt 501 (c) 3, non-profit
educational organization, gifts given by U.S. citizens and residents are tax
deductible. All those who give to JUC receive a receipt
they may use for income tax purposes. |
|
|
Canada: Canadians may choose to give
directly to JUC in the U.S. or Israel and forgo the tax deductibility of their gift or they
may give to the Canadian Scholarship Fund and receive proper
status for their gift in Canada. Please refer to the
Giving Opportunities section. |
|
|
Matching Gifts: JUC is
recognized by many major companies for their matching gift
programs. If you want to give and your employer matches,
include the appropriate forms for JUC staff to complete and
submit on your behalf or contact your matching gift program
coordinator at your place of employment.

|
Gifts to Individuals:
Currently the IRS does not allow tax exemption for gifts
designated for specific individuals. Contact our North
American office for details. |
|
| Monthly Giving Program: Many
individuals submit standing monthly donations. Some
through automatic credit card charges and
some by sending monthly checks. In the future we will also
have automatic bank account debiting available for those who desire this. |
|
| Memorial Giving:
JUC accepts those gifts given in memory of individuals and honors the
request of loved ones as to the use of those gifts. If you
would like to establish a special fund in your name or someone
else's, please contact us. |
|
| Planned Giving:
Many
individuals also include JUC in their estate plans and remember
the work of JUC in their wills. Please let us know if you
have done so or are planning to remember JUC financially. |
|
| North American Office: Please
send all gifts (other than on-line giving) and make all
inquiries regarding giving through our Rockford Illinois office.
U.S. and Canadian Dollar gifts sent to Israel or given in Israel
are forwarded to the Rockford office for processing. |

| On-Line Donations:
We have
set up a secure, encrypted way of donating on-line through the
use of credit card information. You may read about it by
going to the On-Line Secure Giving page from the drop down menu
on the left. |
